This Bank Holiday Sunday will see the infamous Union Street Car Park in SE1 host Eastern Electrics who have managed to rustle up a line up we just cant ignore!
Room 1 sees Mulletover and Micheal Mayer’s Kompact crew from Cologne competing for adulation from the masses. But the undeniable quality being hammered out of room 2 by Dirtybird records is where you’ll find us, deep deep in the zone. Dirtybird, who celebrated 5 years in the game earlier in the year are some serious dudes. Claude Vonstroke has been added to the line-up to headline alongside Justin Martin who’s deep tech-house sets have become synonymous with my morning tube journeys.
The rest of the Dirtybird gang J Philip, Sketchy and co will be helping things tick along nicely. Room 3 will be churning out soulful, funky, dubby numbers from home grown label Hotflush via Joy Orbinson, Scuba and family just to get you in the mood for carnival Monday!
This bank holiday weekend has some serious contenders but Eastern Electrics is our pick of the bunch. Tickets are still available, we picked ours up from PHONICA RECORDS in SOHO.
Check Justin Martins tasty Fact 160 mix to hear what to expect.

As we are still very much a fledgling blog (launched February 2010) and to date we have leaned heavily towards the electronic genre and have not really got around to expressing our feelings for the more soulful side of our musical tastes. Not so long ago we were really hooked on artists like Dwele, Jill Scott, India Arie, Jazzy Jeff, Me One, Eric Roberson, Vikter Duplaix, Floetry, Musiq Soulchild and Bilal. We were exposed to these sounds mainly by

Kicking of with Ron Trent’s classic master piece ‘The Foot Therapy EP’ this mix has us digging through our back catalogue of vinyl, dusting off some extreme rarities from the world of classic underground house music. The mix features some true classics from pioneering underground artists Ron Trent, Chez Damier, Ralph Falcon, Victor Simonelli, Kerri Chandler and Marc Kinchen. As all you heads out there will know these are the people that truly nurtured and defined this budding scene through the early 90’s, providing the benchmark for future deep and soulful house.

After cutting her teeth on San Francisco’s underground music scene throughout the 1990s with photography, graphic/web design, and event promotion, Susan Langan aka Qzen commenced her DJ career as the decade closed. ENGLISH ////////////////////////////////// The Social Club isn’t just a name – we take the responsibility of our presentation of culture to society very seriously. Our mission statement reads: “One calling for the Social Club is the inclusion of styles, genres, and thus the public.” This isn’t some wishful thinking either – the weight of history is all around the Social Club. Situated in the very heart of Paris, the Social Club used to house the same printers which saw George Clemenceau’s L’Aurore newspaper come rolling off, in particular with Emile Zola’s famous ‘J’accuse’ letter to the French president.
