Slightly off piste for us this Summer, we decided to pay attention to one of this years hottest parties at Space Ibiza; Come Together. With the likes of Faithless, Pendulum, Rusko, Benga, Erol Alkan and a bundle of other awesome acts.
We rock up around midnight with the intention of sliding through the chill out area we are stopped in our tracks by the smooth sounds of a man who seems to reside in the DJ booth at Space, the man Marco Loco. Busting out some slick new disco beats we stand down for a time easing ourselves into the night enjoying Marco’s set. Marco Loco has been a strong contributor to the Ibiza party scene for many years and is a beacon of smooth calm in what can be a crazy sea of upfront music on the party island and we strongly recommend you check him out as a source of deep, slow-mo and disco grooves.
As we shimmy our way through to the Discoteca, a more youthful crowd greet us as the DJ rocks out some wicked 80′s tracks and the atmosphere is bouncy to say the least. The Terrace is somewhat more electric with Push Push presents Elio Riso + friends at the controls winding the crowd up and down until it fit to snap and dropping some driving tech house which seems to be going down well in the packed room.
As always we end up in the Red Box one way or the other and on this occasion in a bit of a pickle indulging ourselves in Ian Blevins and Faze Action live. This was the cushty vibe that we were looking for at that moment in time. Now, Pendulum and Tinie Tempah were on the bill on said night and we were all up for checking them out but our feet remained firmly planted in the groovalicious Red Box where Faze Action took over and kept our attention until way into the wee small hours.
Come Together has had a fantastic season and will definitely be one to watch for next year.
